February 3, 2023 (Provincetown, MA) – The Provincetown Film Society (PFS) announced it has added a new event to its winter auction: join John Waters for “Soiree at the Sewer,” a private dinner featuring log-jam appetizers, elimination entrees and mudslide desserts prepared by Chef Jacob Hetnarski.
With a dress code billed as either “mellow yellow” or “flush-it-down brown,” the bid-only feast will take place this July at Provincetown’s water treatment plant. Guests must be 21 years or older to bid on this item.
The Provincetown Film Society annual winter auction will take place online from February 4th to February 12th, 2023, and features a variety of items, experiences, and getaways. Featured items include a private dinner for two with Provincetown International Film Festival’s 2019 “Filmmaker on the Edge” honoree, John Cameron Mitchell. The auction winner and a guest will be invited to join Mitchell for dinner in either Provincetown or New York City.
All proceeds will benefit the mission of Provincetown Film Society to present and advocate for gender, racial, and LGBTQ+ representation on screen by providing year-round programming and platforms that allow voices of all kinds to be heard, as well as the upcoming 25th anniversary of the Provincetown International Film Festival, which runs June 14-19, 2023.
