Adam Shankman is one of Hollywood’s most versatile directors, choreographers, and
producers, with a career spanning film, television, and stage. A multi-award-winning creative force, he has been recognized by the Emmys, DGA, and Critics’ Choice Awards. Shankman is the director of the PIFF 2026 opening night film STOP! THAT! TRAIN! starring RuPaul, Ginger Minj, Jujubee, Symone, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Marcia Marcia Marcia, Matt Rogers and Sarah Michelle Geller.
Shankman has directed and produced a wide range of hit projects, including HAIRSPRAY (2007), THE WEDDING PLANNER, A WALK TO REMEMBER, and ROCK OF AGES, while also serving as a key creative producer on numerous film and television productions.
