Bowen Yang wrote for Saturday Night Live for one season before bursting onto the scene with breakout performances as a cast member, including instantly viral skits like “The Iceberg That Sank The Titanic” and ”Trade Daddy.” In what seemed like a blink of the eye, Yang landed an Emmy nomination and a spot on Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people list.
Yang can be seen in Comedy Central’s Awkwafina is Nora From Queens; The Lost City, starring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum; the upcoming Universal release Bros, starring Billy Eichner and Luke Mcfarlane; and the comedy FIRE ISLAND, directed by PIFF alum Andrew Ahn, which premieres on Hulu this month and is featured in this year’s festival.
