CRASH+SUES was hired to create the trailer for the 2016 Provincetown International Film Festival (PIFF.) The festival wanted to celebrate their status as America’s Oldest Art Colony, by paying tribute to the prolific artists who have called it home throughout the years. Not only has it become the festival’s permanent ongoing trailer, but has just won a 2017 Golden Trailer Award for Best Film Festival Trailer.

Women in film is one of the important themes at this year’s Provincetown International Film Festival, beginning with honors going to Academy Award-winning writer/director Sofia Coppola and Oscar-nominated actress Chloe Sevigny.

Film festivals are where cinephiles can see movies — sometimes Oscar contenders — long before they’re released in theaters. They’re also where fans can hear from directors and stars, usually during Q&As after screenings.

PROVINCETOWN — The best film producers are fixers: they see a problem and they find a workable solution. Films, which are an expensive, collaborative and enormously complicated art form, beget an endless series of problems. You have a crowd scene set in an impossible location? An intractable budget shortfall? A writer or actor or director who can’t reconcile his or her “creative differences”? Call your producer.

Honoring the best in motion picture marketing, the 18th annual Golden Trailer Awards were held tonight in Beverly Hills, with newly-minted superhero franchise “Wonder Woman” taking home the night’s top prize — Best Of Show.

Cinephiles won’t want to miss out on the 2017 Provincetown Film Festival. From June 14 to 18, a host of Hollywood stars and acclaimed independent flicks will take over the small Cape Cod town for this year’s festivities.
