MADELINE’S MADELINE reveals an invigorating and bold voice in cinema that is not easily categorized. A coming of age story of sorts, featuring mesmerizing performances by Miranda July and by outstanding newcomer Helena Howard, as a mother and daughter caught in a psychological, mystifying dance. The two are forced to confront their relationship as Madeline’s theater director (Molly Parker) pushes their limits to the outer reaches.
